Boat Safety Weekend

Safety on the water is a shared responsibility, and ensuring the well-being of our members, vessels, and facilities is our top priority. As part of this commitment, we introduced a mandatory boat safety check requirement last year, to be completed once in every three years for all moored vessels. This is now year 2 of 3.

This safety initiative aligns with the guidelines set out in the Boat Safety Guide and focuses on critical areas, including shore power cables, fire safety equipment, and other key risk factors. These checks are about fostering a proactive safety culture among our members.

To facilitate this process, volunteers from RCMSAR will be on hand to conduct the checks, bringing their extensive expertise to help ensure your vessel meets the highest safety standards.
