LOGAN, Robert John “Johnny”

Surrounded by family at home, after a courageous battle with cancer, we said goodbye to our Johnny. Beloved husband of 66 years to Tellma, devoted father to; Mark (Judy), Gerry, Kurt (Sandy) and proud grandfather to; Brett, Michele, Gabrielle, Kirsten. Many adored nieces / nephews, friends and neighbors.
 
Johnny served in the merchant marine in 1945 as a radio officer aboard the Dunhill Park. He then joined BC Tel where he worked for 37 years and loved all aspects of his varied career (particularly the people). He enjoyed a long retirement of 33 years during which his passions of sailing and travel cultivated many friendships. He volunteered at the Canadian Power Squadron (Norvan), teaching safe boating for many years. He also taught sailing to many novices on his cherished boat Aruba with the motto “to sail is to live”.

A Celebration of Life is being held on Sunday November 2, 12 noon, Eagle Harbor Yacht Club, 5750 Eagle Harbor Rd., West Vancouver. Please come and share a memory.
